Can You Say…

…”ugly”?
No, wait, that’s not strong enough… let’s go with “oh dear god that’s f?@king HIDEOUS”. Yeah, that’s better.
Honestly, I don’t care how quick it is – it looks like someone’s stuck drop bars on a TT bike.
For those who don’t know, it’s the new Cervélo S5, and it’s wrong. Just wrong.

For some reason I’m loving Cervelos at the moment. Isn’t this function over style, and shouldn’t we applaud that?
Applaud function over style? Dude, you’re on the wrong website…
Ha!
I hate TT bikes, but I like the “it’s fast, so STFU, aesthetes” vibe of this.
It’s crabon for grouchy people.
I like it. As manufacturing techniques become better, simple “tube” bikes are going to continue to make way for more space age looking frames like this.. It’s the future, and I love it.
Yeah, but you’re a Cervélo rider…
FWIW, I agree on ’round’ tubes being less and less common on
tupperwarecarbon frames now (and probably forever more) – it might shock you to know that even my own Look doesn’t have uniformally round tubes!BUT, Felt have been able to produce a nice looking aero frame, as have Canyon – even ‘old’ Cervélos are nice (I used to love the S3). This S5 though, stinks.

I agree. Bloody ugly and no doubt will be ubiquitous in a years time
