From the original Elite stem with its quirky steerer tube clamp to the cool little bags the kit comes in, Thomson stuff is delightfully timeless, classy and rarely looks out of place.
Pair the lighter-than-it-ought-to-be Masterpiece seatpost – perhaps with a bit of a kink in it should your needs be such – with a matching X2 or X4 stem and you’ve got a collar & cuffs worthy of any high end machine, road or MTB.
Hell, even their seatclamp is lovely!
P.S. Their new range of handlebars are due out later this year too.

I’ve had major issues with most companies seat post clamps but Thomson comes out tops every time, will never consider another overpriced Ti or carbon item ever again. A Thomson seat post clamp is for life !!!
I just wished they did’nt make the weird kinked setback seat post. I could never rock one of those !!!
Their stuff looks good but it’s porky as all hell
Not really – not considering their strength, price and build quality. An X2 stem at 110mm is only 30g heavier than a 3T Arx Ltd, and the price difference is astronomical.
A 350mm x 31.6mm Masterpiece seatpost weighs 193g – a 280mm 3T Doric Ltd is 163g (published weights), and again an astronomical price difference.
Not that porky really. People assume they will be, but they could be MUCH worse.
Love Thomson. Good to see they're starting to do bars.
